CAUTION - READ THIS Some people are using several of the items that we sell to upgrade their TiVo. You must understand that this is dangerous. High voltages are present inside your TiVo and you can be hurt if you open the case. You must also understand that it WILL VOID YOUR TiVo WARRANTY. Simply put, this means that it WILL VOID YOUR TiVo WARRANTY if you open your TiVo. Like as in don't call or email me or TiVo or Philips or Sony or anybody else if you damage something. Don't even touch those Torx screws unless you fully understand this and are prepared to toss it in the trash can if something goes wrong. Also understand that future software upgrades that TiVo sends your TiVo may not run on a modified unit and that TiVo, at anytime, could disable any or all of the additional space that is added to a TiVo. They could also stop sending guide data to a unit, until it is returned to its original condition. Currently, TiVo is playing pretty, but we have no idea what the future brings. Please understand all of this before deciding to upgrade. The products that 9th Tee sells are brand new and have the full manufacturers warranty. We do not provide any application specific warranty. TiVo Mounting Bracket with HardwareStop using duct tape and Velcro! This is the best way to mount your upgrade hard drives. The TiVo Hard Drive Mounting Kit includes the bracket, vibration dampners and required mounting hardware. You will need this if you are going to mount an additional hard drive in a Standalone Series 1 TiVo.

IDE Cable For TiVoAlthough not always necessary, here is an IDE Cable that will
work in a TiVo. The original TiVo drive cable is sometimes ok, but if you
need another cable, this is it. Also great for the newer TiVo's that
only have a single drive cable. This cable is custom manufactured and is
longer between the drive connectors than normal. Also, and this is very
important, you do not have to drill or cut out the blocking pin with our
cables.
TiVo Null Modem Serial CableSo you want to get a bash prompt but have lost the original serial cable included with your Stand Alone TiVo or have a DirecTiVo? Well, this cable is for you! It has a 1/8" stereo plug on one end that plugs into your TiVo or DirecTiVo and has a DB9 connector at the other that plugs into your PC's serial port. You can use the 10' Long extension cable if your computer is just too far away. Please note that longer cables runs may require lower data transmission speeds so try to use the 10' cable if possible.

With the Add-On Drive Kit, you just add an additional disk drive next to the original drive. The Add-On Drive Kit will ADD hours to your existing hard drive so the total hours that you will have after the upgrade depends on how many hours your original TiVo has. Your existing programming and settings are maintained. With the NetReady Replacement Drive Kit, you remove the original drive and replace it with the new drive. Since the NetReady Replacement Drive Kit replaces the original disk drive, the size of the NetReady Replacement Drive Kit will be the total hours that you will have after the upgrade. Your existing programming and settings are not kept and you must go thru setup again but will give the maximum storage available. The NetReady Replacement Drive Kits gives you what you need today, and what you want for tomorrow. All Series1 replacement drive kits are bundled with our NetReady software. Should you decide to add a Genuine TurboNet or CacheCard networking card in the future, you can download a software upgrade that can easily be installed on your TiVo from your Personal Computer without removing the drive from your TiVo. You can add a TurboNET network bundle to any of our Series 1 Replacement Drive Kits. This includes the standard Replacement Drive Kit with pre-installed and configured Networking utility files such as telnet, ftp, TiVoWEB, etc, TurboNETTM network card, and the connection kit. You can add a CacheCard network bundle to any of our Series 1 Replacement Drive Kits. This includes the standard Replacement Drive Kit with pre-installed and configured Networking utility files such as telnet, ftp, TiVoWEB, etc, CacheCardTM network card, connection kit and a 512Mb memory module.
If you add a network kit to your Replacement Drive Kit, you
can also add our DVRchive software bundle which includes all of the required
software, preconfigured and ready for you to start archiving your recorded shows
to a PC.
